Yesterday I participated in an event called "cleaning the world". This action gather together people that want to take care about the environment usually including neighbouring schools and residents. This time we were cleaning a small forest near my block of flats in Siemianowice Ślaskie. I think it was a great idea and even me and my family was thinking about organising something like this. This forrest is a beautiful place and recently was renovated so it keeps looking better each month. It is a great place for a long walk with friends or family but also the only place in neighbourhood were dogs could feel free to run. The only problem was that each time I was there my dog came back to house feeling sick. He was eating some garbage that was left there. We (because I went there with my whole family) decided no to be listless. This was the place were we live and we couldn't leave it like this. But the things I saw were terrible. A lot of garbage, empty bottles of alcohol, tons of cups and even some drugs residues. I think that the place we had founded in the forrest was a meeting place of drug addicts. It was very exhausting adventure for me and I think they after this what I have saw I am not going to throw any trash on the ground ever!

Biking

Last week my parents had bought me a bicycle, finally. It was very good time because a short holiday had started and I had some free time that I could spend in an active way. I decided to go for a bike together with my friend. We went to Częstochowa were he has a small summerhouse and there is a lot of free space for biking and relaxing. We went to neighbouring village to a lake and back to his house.
Also wen we got back to Katowice we decided not to take bus when we wanted to get to city centre but take a bike instead. In this way we were taking care about out health and gain condition but also take care about the environment.

We really like to spend time together, but we don’t like boredom, so a bike seemed to be a great idea for us. And it was. We had spent an amazing time together and had so much fun. I hope we will be able to repeat this action as much times as it will be possible.

Hiking

Recently I went hiking together with my family and my friend. We went on Szyndzielnia (in Bielsko-Biała city) and then higher to the Klimczok. These are both names of the mountaintops. It was a great trip for me. Nothing is as much relaxing as hiking. Everyone felt tired and unable to talk, so we walked in silence. This is beautiful, because we had spent this time together but each of us could think on his own and take a rest from the city noise. Also our eyes could relax, because we were watching beautiful view in the distance instead of reading or doing something on the computer, then our eyes has to be concentrated and get tired faster.
I have founded this activity very relaxing and I appreciated the most a dinner that we could eat at the top. I was so tired and exhausted that I have felt like I ate the best dumplings with berries in the whole world. Maybe it was, because of my tiredness or maybe they really had amazing dumplings.

    Skating

Recently I have started a new activity - roller skating. Is is not that new for me because I used to to this. But I think it was 3 of 5 years ago. I feel a bit unsteadily because I don't remember how to skate and when I went to the park for the first time after this break I spent a lot of time on trying to catch balance. I do this activity together with my friend and we had a great fun because neither me or he can't skate. We were supporting each other and catch balance so non of us will fell on the ground. We did it. There was no accidents and we both really like this activity. Unfortunately we we're at the park only twice because now the weather is awful and is snowing but we can't wait until it will be sunny again!

    Chemistry Teacher

My job has changed. I lost my math student, because a schoolmate has changed class and so his math level has changed. He doesn’t need me anymore, but I have found new student and this one it is chemistry one. This is totally new experience for me, because now I learn with my 3 years old younger sister. I have to prepare her some materials to practice and I had to recall all the information I learnt in past years. Chemistry is a black magic for her, so she is very contumacious student and I feel like she is testing my patience. But I think that it is a fantastic experience. I can practice relations between people and get better contact with my sister. Also I have Chemistry at higher level at school so this is a wonderful revision and solidification of my current knowledge.

    Ski Competition

I just had come back from the trip to Szczyrk, small town in the South of Poland, with my friends where I was on a voluntary service during ski competition of doctors and lawyers. It was organised by my friend’s parents and we were taken to help with the organisational things like doling the start numbers, checking the presence of the competitors, logging the scores and then collecting the start numbers back. Very simple job, but we had to be extremely focused because there were a lot of people at one time that wanted to list. What was surprising to me is that the competitors that should be well behaved because of their social status but they were not. Standing in the queue waiting for those numbers they were acting like wild animals screaming and shouting to us many at one time. It was a terrible situation for us, because we couldn’t handle it in this fast tempo.
Then another challenging job was to collect this numbers. I tried to be polite to all those people. I understood that it was 11 p.m. and they were tired after a few rides, but I was too and I didn’t want to postpone it on them. Also very surprising for me was competition between doctors and lawyers, but also among the families and friends. For me it wasn’t healthy competition but tug-of-war and it was not right, because that supposed to be a fun and joy for everyone.

We had spent about 8 hours at the outside during a freezing cold weather so unfortunately I was terribly sick for the next day of the competition but still it was great experience for me. I could get to know about the organizational side of such an events and also meet some new people and know their attitudes and behaviour to this case. I also learnt that people shouldn’t be judged by their appearance because sometimes it could mislead us in both sides and make us feel astonished.
